Partner's Full Biography
Daniel Selener holds PhD and master´s degrees in International Development from Cornell University. For the last 25 years, Daniel has provided leadership and technical assistance in design, monitoring and evaluation (DME) for three international NGOs in Latin America and Caribbean countries: International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR), CARE and Catholic Relief Services (CRS).
His positions have included conducting assessments of DME systems in international NGOs, designing policies, and supervising the implementation of plans to strengthen regional and country-level capacities to implement project-level DME systems. He was responsible for supervising and providing technical assistance to more than 300 international development projects with a value of over US$300,000,000.
Currently, Daniel is an independent consultant. He has coordinated and facilitated Writeshops in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Kenya, Ethiopia, Mali and the UK, in each case, bringing together a range of relevant project stakeholders with editors and writers to produce case studies in one week´s time. These Writeshops resulted in more than 50 case studies that documented field experiences aimed at increasing the resilience of communities to natural disasters, climate change and environmental degradation.
