Claire Reinelt

Claire has over 20 years of experience evaluating leadership programs and leadership networks in the nonprofit sector. Her consulting practice supports foundations and nonprofit organizations to effectively invest in developing leadership, strengthening their networks, and achieving collective impact. Claire was a founding member of the Leadership Learning Community and served as LLC’s Director of Research and Evaluation from 2005-2013. She has conducted multiple scans of the leadership development field, led numerous evaluation projects and contributed to research and writing for several Leadership for a New Era Series publications on Leadership and Collective Impact, Leadership and Networks and Leadership and Large Scale Change.



Her clients have included the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation, The California Endowment, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Global Fund for Women and the Barr Foundation, among others.



She has authored and edited many publications on leadership development, including the Handbook of Leadership Development Evaluation. Claire has a PhD in Sociology from Brandeis University and an MA in Anthropology from the University of Texas, Austin.
